Just as its name implies, Wind Systems will address all aspects of manufacturing the hardware required for successful wind power production. Each issue will contain informative articles on the materials utilized in towers, turbines, and gearboxes; the processes for grinding, shaping, and finishing component parts; and the computer technologies allowing for greater design creativity and flexibility.

Debuting in April 2009 as a quarterly magazine.

Emphasis will be placed on improved manufacturing processes, cutting-edge research and development activities, and new equipment being introduced into the wind power market. These articles will be written by experts from both industry and academia in order to provide a broad range of insights and expertise. In addition, articles exploring issues such as land management, site location, and even meteorological and geographic concerns will be presented. The result is that the owners and managers of wind farm projects or related enterprises considering tower sources will be able to make informed decisions about the equipment they purchase. These features will be of interest to economic development professionals, as well. Wind Systems will target those who are in a position to make decisions regarding capital expenditures such as equipment purchases, materials sourcing, and choosing quality subcontractors to design and manufacture crucial components.
